Clear about the serious matters

I believe in being clear about the serious matters, so here they are, written as plainly as such things allow. You will find the Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, and my disclaimers gathered in this section.

The short version

Your questions are raised by adults. Your information is kept private and encrypted, and never sold. I am not a lawyer, a doctor, or a financial advisor, and when your question needs one of those, I will guide you to the right door rather than guess. No answer here is a guarantee, and any outside tool or link is used at your own good judgment. If anything is unclear, simply ask me.

Privacy Policy (draft)

When you create an account, we collect your username, email address, password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text), and date of birth, which is used solely to confirm you are an adult and is not shown publicly. When you submit a question, we record the content of your submission, whether it concerns a minor, any guardian attestation given, the submitting account, a timestamp, and the IP address of the request. This record exists to document that consent and the adult-only requirement were met, as described in our age-verification process.

If you attach a document to a question, the file is stored in our private database, alongside your submission, and is not made public or shared with third parties. It is visible only to Naresh Duggal Consulting for the purpose of answering your question. This feature is only available to logged-in accounts, and attachments are limited to 4MB and to the file types listed in our accepted-attachment types.

We do not sell personal information. Information is used only to operate this service, respond to your questions, and maintain the consent records described above. If your account or a submission indicates you are under eighteen, we do not create the account or retain more information from that attempt than necessary to enforce the block.

Third-Party Communication and File-Sharing Tools

For your convenience, this website may link to, or offer, third-party communication and file-sharing tools, such as video-meeting services and secure file-storage services. These tools are operated by independent companies, not by Naresh Duggal Consulting, and your use of them is governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the security, availability, performance, or data practices of any third-party tool.

No method of electronic communication or storage is completely secure. While we recommend and prefer tools that use strong encryption, you use all such tools at your own risk. Please do not transmit information that is more sensitive than you are comfortable sharing electronically, and please keep your own copies of anything important.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Protected Parties (as defined above, meaning the Company, its principal Naresh Duggal, and its advisors, collaborators, and contractors) shall not be liable for any interception, loss, corruption, breach, or unauthorized access to information that occurs on, or in transit to or from, any third-party platform, nor for any failure or unavailability of those platforms. For sensitive material we will point you to the more secure options we provide, and you remain responsible for using them correctly.
